Okuma TCA

Okuma’s Epixor XT reels are the next generation of a long-standing family of spinning reels. Designed with C-40X carbon fiber composite construction and featuring Torsion Control Armor (TCA), this advanced technology provides a lightweight reel with rock-solid durability. These reels have a unique design seen nowhere else, with a profile directly inspired by sports cars. They also feature Okuma's Cyclonic Flow Rotor (CFR), designed to decrease drying time, minimize corrosion, and extend the reel’s longevity. To support the launch of TCA, we designed a logo to capture the technology and craftmanship behind every TCA reel.

Our approach

When designing TCA’s logo, we sought to pay tribute to the unique and recognizable profile it lends to its reels. The logo design incorporates two main concepts. At first glance, the logo shape resembles the elegant, but strong curves of a TCA spinning reel’s support arm. However, the logo also includes the letters T, C, and A. The left side of the design resembles a “T,” while the right side resembles a “C.” When looking at the full design, it resembles an “A.” The logo showcases TCA technology’s ability to create a spinning reel that is durable with beautiful craftmanship to help anglers rise with every challenge.
