Outliers Fund is a research-driven venture capital network founded by envisioneers keen on taking the roadless traveled.

The term “outliers” represents those at the extreme outer edge of what is statistically plausible, as well as the minorities that can change the lives of the majority. The company focuses on accelerating high-potential individuals, investing in commercial space travel venture equity, and building a community to transform sci-fi-inspired ideas from research to ventures. New to the market, Outliers Fund needed to build its brand awareness with a logo and design story to capture the essence of a brand that rejects the norm, identifies untapped opportunities, and pursues the impossible.

Our approach
Outliers Fund maintains limitless possibilities for the types of outliers with whom they work. Our team used a “#” to capture the essence of this boundary-less imagination.
The modern hashtag also represents a collection of topics and interests that unite a group of people. We encrypted the “#” in Outliers Fund’s logo and visual identity to symbolize its efforts to unite, ignite, and create endless possibilities. The “#” is strategically placed in one of the corners to suggest its status as an outlier. Optical illusion techniques make the “#” recognizable in negative space, while the rounded squares can be replaced with letters to form the logomark. The black and gold color palette reflects the platform’s prestigious, secretive, and selective nature.
